  • Secluded island of Ile Aux Aigrettes
    This islet is made of an old calcareous coral reef partially covered by sand and soil.
    Here you will find all the endangered species; highlights include some of the world’s rarest birds such as the kestrel and the pink pigeon, Other animals like the Aldabra giant tortoise and the green Gecko Phelsuma can be spotted in the country as well.

  • Chamarel

If you are fond of fascinating things than yes! Chamarel is the place to get fascinated with; it is a natural phenomenon and a prominent tourist attraction. It is said that if you mix these coloured sands together, they will settle into separate layers in the end. Unfortunately, we cannot test those ourselves, as it is not allowed to touch the sand. However, the souvenir shop here sells little test tubes curios for you to try this out. Red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple and yellow, you will get enthralled by the colours.

  • The Mauritius Aquarium at Pointe aux Biches
    you can have a differnt experience at this Aquarium,This playful and very ecological Aquarium in Pointe aux Biches features a collection of 200 Mauritian fish species, invertebrates, corals and sponges, including a reservoir of large predators like sharks.
  • Beaches

Of course the beaches!! Clear warm coloured blue turquoise water, and endless white beaches with coconut trees make Mauritius an ultimate tropical dream beach, holiday destination.

At the north of the island, you will come across plenty of beaches, each one more beautiful than the next. The most popular ones among Mauritians and tourists are Trou aux Biches, shaded by casuarinas, and the long curvy beach of Mont Choisy  which continues from Pointe aux Canonniers to Grand Bay and to the divine Pereybere public beach.

Most visitors come here not only for the unique shades of blue in the waters, but also for some better view and snorkelling experience with a glass bottom boat.

The bay is a shallow haven of coral and colourful fish in all shapes and forms. Blue bay is an exceptional preserved marine park. Corals and fishes are visible a few meters from shore. Among them, you have the parrot-fish, the trumpet fish and baby barracudas.
